Managed IT Support

Davie, FL. Serving Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and all of South Florida.

Ascend Networks is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider. We license, deploy, secure, and support Microsoft 365 for businesses across South Florida.

Most small businesses are running their entire operation off the modem the internet company dropped off. No firewall. No managed switch. No separate network for guests. Just one device doing everything, wide open.

You probably don't know how exposed that makes you. Most people don't until something goes wrong.

That's exactly what we fix.

At Ascend Networks we come in, assess what you actually have, and build it right. A proper firewall. A managed switch. Access points that are actually configured. Guest WiFi that can't touch your corporate network. Your staff, your data, and your systems on a segmented network that keeps everything where it belongs. If you want to go deeper on the security side, see our Network Security page.

No more all-in-one consumer devices running a business. No more every device on the same flat network. No more hoping nothing goes wrong because you have no visibility if it does.

We work with small businesses across every vertical, retail locations, oil and gas operations, professional services, and more. If you have a physical location with employees, devices, and data, you need this handled properly.

We handle it.

If you're in Broward County, Miami-Dade County, or anywhere in South Florida and you're ready to stop hoping your network is secure and start knowing it is, let's talk.

Industries we support

South Florida runs on small and mid-sized businesses. We support the verticals where good IT is the difference between a smooth day and a lost one.

Veterinary clinics

Practice management software, imaging systems, and exam room networks built to keep appointments moving.

Medical and dental practices

HIPAA-aligned email and file sharing, EHR support, segmented guest WiFi, and endpoint protection on every workstation.

Law firms

Document management, encrypted email, secure client portals, and backups that survive an audit.

Accounting and CPA firms

QuickBooks hosting, secure file exchange, Microsoft 365 hardening, and the backups that protect client returns through tax season.

Real estate firms and brokerages

Document management, secure transaction email, and protections against the wire fraud schemes that target closings.

Construction and contractors

Field crews, office staff, and jobsite tablets on the same secure stack. Project management software, takeoff tools, and backups that keep estimates and drawings safe.

Marine and yachting businesses

Brokerages, yacht management firms, and provisioners along the South Florida waterfront. Dockside connectivity, mobile crew support, and customer privacy built in.

Fuel distribution and petroleum

Direct industry experience with fuel delivery operations, dispatch software, terminal management systems, and the connectivity demands of multi-site fuel operations. If you run a fuel distributor in South Florida, we know your business.

Common managed IT problems we solve

The same set of issues comes up across every industry. Here is what we see most often and how we handle it.

Slow office WiFi and dead zones

Wrong access points, wrong placement, and consumer routers running a business. We redesign the network so coverage and throughput stop being a daily complaint.

Email security, phishing, and Microsoft 365 hardening

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, conditional access, MFA, and tenant configuration done properly. Set up so your domain stops landing in spam and mailboxes stop getting taken over.

Ransomware and endpoint protection

Endpoint detection on every workstation and server, application control where it counts, and tested backups so a bad day stays a bad day instead of a bad quarter.

Backup failures and data recovery

Local plus offsite, versioned, and actually tested. Documented restore times so you know what recovery looks like before you need it.

Workstation and server crashes

Patching, monitoring, and proactive replacement of aging gear. When a machine does die, your team is back working on a configured spare the same day.

Network outages and uptime monitoring

We watch firewalls, switches, and access points around the clock. Most issues are caught and fixed before your team notices anything was wrong.

User access, MFA, and password security

Conditional access policies, MFA on every account that matters, password manager rollouts, and offboarding that actually removes ex-employees from your systems.

Vendor and ISP coordination when something breaks

When Comcast Business, AT&T Fiber, or Hotwire has the problem, we know who to call, what tier of support to demand, and how to read their tickets. Hours saved on every outage.

What makes Ascend different

These are the reasons our clients stay with us. Not slogans, just how we are set up.

Same-day on-site response across Broward and Miami-Dade

Our office is in Davie. Most of our service area is under 25 minutes away. When something needs hands on it, we come.

Direct access to the owner, not a tiered help desk

You can call the owner of the company. No queue, no script, no escalation theater.

Flat monthly pricing with no surprise hourly bills

You know exactly what you are paying every month. Our incentive is to keep your systems running, not to ring up emergency hours.

Bilingual support in English and Spanish

South Florida is bilingual. Our team is too. Front office staff, technicians, and engineers.

Custom software development under the same roof

We build SaaS products in house. Internal tools, dashboards, and integrations are built by the same team that supports your network. No outside dev shop to coordinate.

Operating since 2004

Twenty years and counting. We have lived through every hurricane season, every Microsoft licensing shift, and every ransomware wave that has hit South Florida.

Who we work with

Most of our managed IT clients are small to mid-sized businesses between five and seventy-five users. Single-location professional firms, multi-location operations, and growing businesses that have outgrown their original IT setup. We do not have a minimum seat count for the right relationship, and we do not have a hard ceiling either.

Whether you have no IT staff and need a full outsourced team, or you have internal IT and need a partner for projects, after-hours coverage, or specialized work like security and software, we can structure the engagement to fit.

Common questions

What does managed IT actually include?

Managed IT means we handle your entire technology environment on an ongoing basis. That includes firewall and network monitoring, managed switches and access points, workstation and server maintenance, patching, backups, user account management, vendor coordination with your internet provider, and being the first call when anything breaks. One team watching the whole stack instead of five vendors each watching a piece of it.

How is this different from calling someone only when something breaks?

Break-fix means you only hear from your IT person after the problem has already cost you time, money, or customers. Managed IT is the opposite. We are watching your network every day, catching problems before they become outages, and keeping things current so the thing that was going to break next month never breaks at all. The goal is boring, and boring is good.

Do I need this if I only have a few employees?

If you have employees, devices, a business network, and data you can't afford to lose, the answer is almost always yes. Small businesses are the easiest targets for attackers precisely because they assume they're too small to be worth attacking. They aren't. The cost of getting it right up front is dramatically lower than the cost of getting compromised, losing data, or being down for a week.

What happens if my network goes down?

You call us and we respond. Most managed IT issues we fix remotely within minutes because we already have visibility into your environment and don't need to spend an hour asking you what your setup looks like. If something needs hands on it, we come on site. Our phones aren't answered by a call center in another country.

How do you bill for managed IT?

Flat monthly fee based on the size of your environment. You know exactly what you're paying each month, and there are no surprise hourly invoices when something goes wrong. Our incentive is to keep your systems running smoothly because we already agreed on the price.
